A few years ago I was an artist and curator. One of my works is referenced in a biography of Billy Apple®, and I also curated an exhibition in Sydney. Yet being an artist wasn’t tormenting enough, so I signed a zero-hour contract to work in a call-centre. Now I’m in advertising. Still creative, with the bonus of steady income, faster pace, and a bit more torment.
